Clark Ashton Smith, a close colleague of Lovecraft, is known for ornate, musical prose and his own worlds of Hyperborea and Zothique. His creation Tsathoggua was borrowed by Lovecraft into the Mythos.
He is counted among the three pillars of the Mythos: Lovecraft, Howard, and Smith.
His worlds divide into prehistoric Hyperborea, the far-future last continent Zothique, and the medieval French Averoigne, with the wizard Eibon and his "Book of Eibon" at their center. The related entries below lead to each world and figure, and the original-text link to his collected works.
