Effective: November 2, 2026
Pnakotic Press (pnakotic.uk, "the site") handles readers' personal data only as far as it needs to. This policy explains what the site collects, who it shares it with, and what you can ask for.
What we collect
Visit statistics. To see which chapters get read, the site records visits: the page address, the domain of the site you came from, your browser type (used to tell people from automated crawlers), and a country code estimated from your connection. To recognize a returning visitor, it sets a cookie holding a random number (lbf_vid, about 400 days) and keeps a tab-session number in your browser's session storage that expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. IP addresses are not stored. If your browser sends Do Not Track, nothing is stored.
Comments. Commenting is optional and requires signing in with a Google account or by email. When you comment, the site stores your account identifier, email address, display name (your Google account name or the part of your email before the @), and the comment text and time. Your display name and comments are public; your email address is not. You can delete your own comments.
Advertising. The site shows Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ad Settings and opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services. Visitors from the UK and the European Economic Area are asked for consent on their first visit.
Who processes it
The site relies on these services, whose servers may be outside your country:
- Vercel: hosting (requests may appear in server logs)
- Turso: storage for visit statistics
- Supabase: comment sign-in and comment storage
- Google: ads (AdSense) and Google account sign-in
We do not sell your data or pass it on for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
Visit statistics are kept for as long as they are used for site statistics and contain nothing that identifies you personally. Comments and sign-in data are kept until you delete them or ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your comments and account data. Write to the address below and we will act on it after confirming the request.
