Olathoë is a city in H. P. Lovecraft's short story "Polaris," lying on the plateau of Sarkis in the land of Lomar. "Polaris" was written in 1918 and first published in December 1920 in The Philosopher.
In the tale the city is threatened by an enemy known as the Inutos. While the other men engage the Inutos in combat, the narrator is sent to a watchtower to signal if the enemy gains access to the city itself.
