NoEnd House is a creepypasta by Brian Russell, first posted to 4chan around 2010 and formally published in June 2011. The narrator enters a haunted house in which he must pass through nine numbered rooms in sequence, each scene growing more nightmarish than the last. A simple reward — five hundred dollars for reaching the end — drives the tale forward. It was later adapted as the second season of Syfy’s Channel Zero.
The heart of the horror is the escalating structure itself. The form of clearly numbered rooms each growing one notch more horrible builds tension through nothing but the anticipation of what lies beyond the next door. It is regarded as a model of structural horror that organizes fear through rules and stages.
