Mörk Borg is an apocalyptic fantasy RPG by Pelle Nilsson and Johan Nohr, published by Free League Publishing (Fria Ligan) in 2020. It uses a rules-light Old School Renaissance (OSR) system in which characters are randomly generated.
It is marked by dark themes drawn from heavy-metal music and a deliberately lurid, gnarly art direction, and it won multiple ENnie Awards (Product of the Year, Best Writing, Best Layout, and others).
Its focus on doomed characters seeking meaning before a prophesied world-end resonates with our setting’s mood: the dread of a world whose ending is already fixed.
