The Skinwalker, or "yee naaldlooshii" in Navajo tradition, is a witch who, by breaking the deepest taboo of murdering kin, gains the power to take animal form and possess others. The being is held so dangerous that even speaking its name aloud is forbidden.
That the very act of naming is prohibited follows precisely the sealing logic, in which to call a thing is to call it forth.
