SCP-1471 is an app of unknown origin that installs on a smartphone under the name "MalO ver1.0.0." About 90 hours after installation, the user begins to see a tall, dog-skulled humanoid — SCP-1471-A — in photographs and in daily life. The being is visible only to the installer and keeps its distance while always following.
The heart of the horror is the isolation of a companion only you can see. Because others perceive nothing, it is hard to seek help or to be believed. Once installed it cannot be undone and never leaves the user’s side again — a modern form of curse in which the price of inviting in a record clings to you for life.
