Mothership is a science-fiction horror tabletop role-playing game published by Tuesday Knight Games in 2018, built on Old School Revival rules. Set in a future where humanity has reached interstellar space, it borrows the claustrophobia and isolation of Alien and Event Horizon. Players choose one of four classes — Teamster, Scientist, Android, Marine — and roll, alongside their attributes, three Saves: Sanity, Fear and Body.
Failing an action or a save triggers a panic check that decides whether a character keeps their wits under extreme pressure. By making Sanity and Fear into numbers and turning fragility before the indifferent void into a rule, it connects directly to cosmic horror’s long theme: the frailty of the human mind against the unknown.
