Ticci-Toby (full name Tobias "Toby" Erin Rogers) is a creepypasta character who appears as a proxy of Slender Man. After losing his older sister in a car crash he begins to be stalked by Slender Man, and becomes one of his proxies after killing his abusive father. The trait of congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA), which leaves him unable to feel pain, sets him apart from other characters. He was created and developed by the author kastoway (on DeviantArt).
This character’s popularity comes from his story rather than from horror. A tragic background of trauma, domestic violence, and a body that knows no pain drew deep empathy, and he settled in as one of the most beloved figures of 2010s creepypasta original-character culture.
