Moon-beasts are enormous, pale, rubbery, toad-like creatures without visible noses or eyes, with pink tentacles depending from their lower faces. They build great cities on and beneath the moon of the Dreamlands.
They trade with the port cities of the Dreamlands through their serpentine sailors, acquiring human captives. The cats of Earth periodically launch expeditions to the moon to hunt them.
