Krasue

크라수에

Also: Ahp · Kasu · Phi Krasue

Krasue is a nocturnal spirit told across Southeast Asia — Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond — often said to arise when past sins, failed black magic, or a curse cling to a woman.

It usually appears as the floating, disembodied head of a young and beautiful woman, her internal organs still attached and trailing below the neck. At night it hunts for blood and raw flesh, must hide its headless body before dawn, and fears spiky objects that might snag its dangling viscera.
