Chupacabra

추파카브라

Also: Goat-sucker

The Chupacabra, first reported in Puerto Rico in 1995, is described as a reptilian creature with spines along its back, said to kill livestock by draining their blood. Its name is Spanish for "goat-sucker."

As a monster grown from the real phenomenon of unexplained mass livestock deaths, it shows how an unexplained outcome takes on a shape and becomes a creature.
